My name is Angelia, I became a caregiver cause i like to help people. I became a caregiver cause i wanted to work in nursing ever since i was a little, watching my mom work as a nurse and seeing what she has done to help people and i became interested when i would go with her to work and help with the little things. I enjoy being a caregiver because it, is rewarding. I meet different people from all back grounds and i l have learned a lot from every person i that i have had the pleasure to work with, I treat every person like they were my own family members. I also work for a hospice company, caring for client's that are not going to be here long. I take pride in everything i do and understand that it is hard for the client as well as family. I have taken care of my own family member when it came to them needing help, I know how it feels from being a caregiver and a CNA. I am very proud of what i do and i always will.

I am a mother of two beautiful girls. One who is going to the U of U for a bachelor's in psychology, and another who is a full time mom. I have a beautiful granddaughter that is almost two. I am a family oriented person who loves to do outdoor activities of any kind. I have a passion for caregiving and always have. My mother taught me at a young age about caregiving and would tell me stories that attracted me to it.

Hello my name is Mya! Hopefully we get a chance to meet but I'll tell you a little but about myself beforehand! I am a cerified nursing assistant and have been certified for two years now! My loving and understanding personality has made me the best caregiver I could be. I love my clients and if they have a smile at the end of our visit, I know I've done my best job. What I enjoy most in being a caregiver is getting to know my clients and building that connection so they are comfortable in their own home and they received the care they need. I have more than 15 years of experience working in the healthcare industries especially experiences in caring for seniors. I am passionate about care giving because in our culture it is our responsibility to respect and care for our elderly.

What makes me become a great caregiver is my grandparents. I was mostly raised by my grandparents and when I was 16 years of age my grandpa was diagnosed and I was the one that helps him most of the time. After my grandpa passed away my grandma was next and I had to take care of her, when grandma passed away that's when I realized I don't have a grandparents anymore and so I decided to look for a caregiver jobs so I can continue on the legacy that my grandparents left behind. Working as a caregiver makes me treat every residents that I get to work with just like how I treat my grandparents. I'm the type of person that I like to smile every time no matter the situations is, so by smiling it helps me with my job as a caregiver, and it helps the patients too feel comfortable with me helping them. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver, is being able to talk with them about life and how they share with me their stories, because I took their stories and apply it to mine and i work towards it. One of my personal achievements that I'm proud of is, seeing my patients happy, is one of my biggest achievements.

I've been fortunate to have been able to work with many individuals, needs vary from each person and so my knowledge is vast due to experiences in caring for each of these individuals.
