My parents were both very involved with volunteering. I learned early on the benefits and rewards of being caring, kind and helping others. My mom lived in her own home until she recently passed away at 98. We had various caregivers for her over the years, and while some were wonderful, there were many more that were not. I treat people the way I would treat my own mother...with respect and dignity. I try to find what brings joy to whomever I'm caring for. Do they like to sing or be sung to, play cards, board games, go for a walk? I can help clean, make meals, get groceries, transport to and from Dr visits and hair appointments or just give a full time caregiver a break. I helped my mom with bathing, grooming and dressing and am willing to learn how you do things. I have a heart of gold when it comes to people who need a little extra help, especially the elderly. I'm reliable, patient, trustworthy and will always show up with a smile. I hope to hear from you....Denise Will also do evening checks after 5:30 p.m. I can make sure loved one has eaten dinner or I can make them dinner, taken medications, help them get ready for bed, take dog out, make sure doors are secured or just visit. Will stay a min of 3 hours @ $25 an hour. I will gladly give you references upon request. P.S. - I should also mention that I'm allergic to cats....sorry!
My understanding of each client condition. My ability to communicate effectively with client. My patience, thoughtfulness, and a cheerful disposition. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical experience. My great sense of humor. Professional attitude and great demeanor. I had a friend who's mother was in a nursing home with dementia and her mother wondered out of the nursing home and was almost hit by a car. Since then, I developed this great part of caring for the elderly and naturally, I'm a loving and caring person. Just being able to see my client smile all day and to lighten their day up. Makes me joyful. I was able to get a client who was a diabetic, hypertensive, wounds, etc. Who was on serveral medications for various condition. Cut back on most of the medications and the doctors where amaz. Just pleases my heart. Most of all my dependebility.

I've always enjoyed taking care of people. I'm looking for a job that is challenging rewarding and will positively impact others lives. I am easygoing, a good listener and patient. This has helped me to provide quality care to my clients. I started out with an appreciation for this profession when my grandmother had Alzheimer's. My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. So this is a passion I've had since I graduated in 1976 and still do the best in it. I have outstanding references upon request!
