About Suzannah

1. I became a caregiver because I want my life to be meaningful, and for me that means helping others. It is important to me that I make a contribution to society by caring for others in a way that will improve their quality of life. 2. I love getting to know the people I care for on a personal level and making them as happy and comfortable as possible. I also like being able to help ease any physical, mental, or emotional stress of family members through loving and responsible care giving. 3. I am proud of achieving a Certificate in Gerontology in addition to my BA in Human Development from Brigham Young University. The courses and internship required for this certificate have allowed me to learn about seniors and how to help them on both an academic and a personal level. 4. I first became interested in the geriatric field because my grandmother (Nana) lived with my family for several years while I was growing up until she passed away when I was a sophomore in High School. I treasure the memories I have with her including when I used to lay on her bed with her when I would get home from school and she would scratch my back and tell me stories about her life.
