First and foremost, I am a mother of two beautiful children (whom I am home schooling), the three of us often act as a team when it comes to my work. It's truly spectacular how children can bring life and laughter to older generations, and it brings me joy as well! When I was young my mother worked as nurse in a home health facility, where I became every resident's very best little friend! I started volunteering in nursing homes, and hospice care facilities long before I was able to make a career out of my passion, I've never seen myself being fulfilled by anything else. I consider myself to be exceptionally compassionate, kind-hearted, understanding, patient, and loving. I also don't have a weak stomach, which I've found to be a great trait as a caregiver! My goal in life is to continue my passion as a fulltime career, so that I may feel fulfilled in my life and what I feel I've been called to do.
I have been caring for patients for the past 15 + years either in an office setting or home setting. I love my patients and care for them as family. I'm currently in the process of finishing up my bachelors degree in nursing. Ultimately I'd love to work in ICU or E.R.
I have been a certified nurses aide for about 9 years and my experience mainly includes working in a long term care facility, with some home health and private sitting jobs part time throughout the years. I am also a medication aide and have been for 5 years. I'm compassionate about what I do and hard working. I am currently taking prerequisite classes to apply to nursing school within the next two years to get my RN/ADN. I enjoy helping in a private setting because I'm able to spend the one on one time as opposed to in a facility you have to divide your time to ensure your job gets done.
I am a certified professional caregiver after many years of caring for ill, and elderly family members. I enjoy giving others in need a sense of independence, and a better quality of life while remaining in their home. I love incorporating a variety of art therapy projects in my work with my clients, I've found it to be very beneficial. I also enjoy helping with pets, and am a devout cat lover! I am currently certified in Adult/Infant/Child CPR and AED training. I have a certification in basic first aid, a certification in (CBT) Cognitive Behavior Therapy and I also have a certificate for Trauma Based IDD issued by (DADS) Department of Aging and Disability Services with the state of Texas.
Ive had other jobs but I always come back to what I love the most. That is caring for the elderly. I give 110 percent to all my patients they come first. I love the time I spend with my patients but most overall is the story they tell you of their life growing up. I started being a cna in 1976 but cane to really love the elderly. The most achievements is knowing not only you come to know the family, but to have the family tell you what a wonderful job you did with that patients the love, passion you gave to not only the patient but the family as well. Im very passionate person and I love what I do. Im single 55 years old and grandma of six. Like I said I give 110percent to all my patients and im very hard worker.
I am a wonderful caregiver because to me the care I provide is personal. My heart goes into all my care because the elderly population deserves repect and dignity. I also treat out older population as if they were my own family members.
I became a caregiver to help people that really needed the extra assistance in their daily living at home. I love being able to help them stay out of a nursing facility by keeping tabs on their health and keeping the house up to excellent living standards. I also have knowledge of CPR and basic life saving skills. Reading the paper or other literature to my patients is one of my favorite activities!
you can call or text me anytime if you have anymore questions! 817-902-1763

I decided to become a caregiver because of my grandmother. As far back as I can remember she was a home health aide, I enjoyed watching her interact with her patients and making them feel comfortable. After watching my grandmother interact with her patients, i decided to try out the caregiver/assisted living/geriatric world in 2005, where i fell in love with the industry.
I have been a caregiver for geriatrics and mental health for up to 10 years and have always enjoyed it.
I have worked with patients that have all stages of Alzheimer's and dementia, including sun-downers, also patients with MS and ALS. With all patients, i like to get to know the family and help them understand and cope with Alzheimer's disease as well as MS and ALS and other diagnoses, which all can be very hard for some families to cope and understand.
Not only do i care and look after the patient and their needs, but i also look after and care for the families. Because although, they are not being cared for by the aides, they too still need help at times. I am always there for the families for a shoulder to cry, a venting board, or just when they need help out or around the house. I do not only do my specific job duties, i do things that are not asked of me, i treat your home like i do mine. When i see that something needs to be done, i take it upon myself to complete that task. For example, dishes in the sink, dusting, trash overflowing, or helping a family member with something. I have assisted with assembling an entertainment center before, just to be a helping hand.
I am a 32 year old mother of 3, who is very easy going and try to be loving/kind/patient. I love to laugh, joke, be silly but also quiet at times and enjoy reading, art and writing. I enjoy exercise and food. I love Disney, animals and photography. Also fashion, make up and hair. I enjoy taking care and helping others, it gives me a sense of fulfillment and I enjoy it. Anything else you want to know, just ask :)
Hi! My name is Dalton and I am 20 years old. I started working at Camp Summit only two days after graduating high school with no previous caregiving experience, but I automatically fell in love with it. Yes, I love helping people, but it's also very much about the types of connections you make with the people you're helping. Working there really changed my life, because before camp I never knew how much joy caregiving could bring. You make lifelong friendships with people and every person I've ever had the privilege to help will always have a special place in my heart.
