About Brenda

1. I am a caregiver because I am able to make a difference in people's lives and allow them to be indeoendent in their own home setting. I also enjoy helping people and see how. my caring for them enables people to be themselves. 2. That I have the opportunity to be of assistance to people and see how my helping them enables people to achieve their or their families goals. 3. One of my achievements was with a person with Dementia/Alhzheimers and she was cimbattive and I showed that I had patience and cared and she ceased being combative and we were able to work together and I assisted with dressing, we took walks, played games, etc. Before that she would only let family members associate with her. 4. Well I scuba dive, am very considerate and patientop. I worked for the state for 28 years and now am looking for caregiving positions so that I can help people who need someone to help them live a independent life. I have a very easy going personality, calm and patient and I am a good listener and companion. I have worked with people with disabilities and the elderly since 2001 and I do enjoy seeing their faces when I arrive knowing they can feel comfortable and safe while I am providing exceptional care to the individual or their family member.

Worked with several ckients who had Dementia and/or Alzheimers dusease. I stayed withe the clients until they were moved into a specialty care facility or they passed away. I was their companion, their calming voice. I walked with them, helped them eat if needed. I cooked for them, assisted with toiketing, changed soiled bed linens. and any daily needs that they needsd and kept them comfortable.
