My personality are empathy and compassion, desire to help patience reliable and flexible .Growing up in a family of medical professionals I surely thought that one day I would become a caregiver after high school I became a caregiver in a facility it gave me the opportunity to help those who couldn't help themselves this is what prompted me to further my education by attending CNA schools while am working on become a nurse light now.
Helping others was always a big part of my life at a very early age. Being able to help seniors was a gift inside of me. I just wanted to help them so their life could be easier. Working as a caregiver, I enjoyed hearing all their stories and the wisdom they have. Helping them accomplish their goals was rewarding. Being able to connect with people & help others is what life is all about. I have worked with seniors twenty-five years. I have had my CNA certificate since 1994. Most of my experience have been working as a nurse tech. in the homes of my patients. The job duties are: Meal prep.& feeding, Personal care, Exercise program with patient, Toilet assistance, Med assistance, Dr. visits, Transfer & walking assistance, Daily vitals, Light housekeeping, Worked with patients with dementia, stroke, diabetes, wound care, blood pressure, cancer recovery, broken bones. I have enjoyed working with children with special needs. A little boy with down syndrome had a feeding tube, severe heart condition, seizers. I was there over three years in McKinney Texas.

I going to give you a quick summary on my job performance and they are: being a companion to your love one, do light house keeping, do laundry, keep bathroom clean on a daily bases, assist w/ showering/bath, Personnal hygiene's, take care trash, do errands, preparing meals, do other creative activities for adults play games and other activities that will be of interest, assist with meds, and if needed to be transferring from bed to wheelchair if needed. Do errands, and be assistant with doctor appointments. I'm a certified CNA. I'm will to get a police report and a drug test taken with your expense. I do have dependable transportation. I do get to work 10 minutes before time. I am reliable and dependable.I have a good work history and reference if required. I enjoy working with your love one. I do speak positive things into their life and speak encouragement that will impact their life.
I am honest, hardworking, and have a heart for taking care of people. I have been with the same lady since 2003 and she has become family. She passed away this month. I plan on finishing nursing school as soon as my kids are all in school. I feel like my calling is to take care of people.

I have over 7 years experience caring for the elderly here in the States and back in Africa this includes, people in the wheelchair the blind, Alzheimer, Dementia. I love to laugh and put my all into my clients to make sure they receive the best care possible. I love the one on one care with the client and love to see smiling faces which tells me I'm doing an excellent job caring for my client. I love building the trust within the family and the client's. My last client was diagnosed with PSP which is a neurological disease that affects the brain for 6 months until he recently passed. I consider myself a caregiver who wears my heart on my sleeve.
I do caregiving because to me its more of a calling than a job. As a Christian its an obligation to take care of our parents,I'm compassionate,and loving.I'm very patient and a good listener which i believe is a very important skill in this field.I'm a good house keeper too i like to live in a neat and safe environment which i practice with my residents too.i did interior design as a course,i use that skill alot in my residents homes i like declattering arranging and organizing a given area. As a caregiver i took care of my mom who was suffering from breast cancer for a long time "thank God she is a survivor" and that experience thought me alot about caregiving i developed more skills,I'm very flexible interms of time and environment and new ideas.

What brought me to being a caregiver was taking care of a family friend who required a lot of assistance where I found my passion with helping people. After leaving that position I worked at Villa Asuncion where I took care of multiple residents administering medication, toileting, bathing, dressing, laundry, and being a companion.
