I opened my home childcare business after my second child was born. I quickly realized I had discovered my passion so I tried my hand at Senior care. I lost both my parents at an early age and wanted to include seniors in my circle so I worked 4 years part- time as a caregiver for a non-medical Senior Care company. I was later promoted to a full-time position as the evening Staffing Coordinator. In this position I assessed the needs of seniors, paired them with caregivers and managed their schedules. I loved helping families find solutions to the care needs of their loved ones. What I like most about care giving is knowing that what I do directly impacts my clients quality of life. It is gratifying to help the elderly remain independent. I love to listen to their life stories and to know that I am helping them maintain their dignity. I want my clients to see aging as a blessing because I believe that a long life is a gift to be celebrated. If I can bring joy into the life of a senior then I have answered my calling. I am personally proud of growing my childcare business from 2 to 14 children based on word of mouth marketing. It started as a way to be home with my own two children and morphed into a thriving business that sustained my family over a twelve year period. I realized that a corporate career was no longer for me. I am a caregiver at heart and plan to spend the rest of my career serving the Senior population.
