I have skills and experience in caring for people of different backgrounds in the patient’s home as well as in a facility. I love dealing with clients of different ages and disabilities. I have demonstrated the ability to give individualized quality care to patients such as bathing, feeding, toileting, grooming and personal care, and I'm able to build up personal connections that support both patient and relatives.
I've been in healthcare for over 10+ years. I started as a caregiver and later went to school to become a Certified Nurse Aide & Certified Medication aide. I recently was attending nursing school however, my school closed down 5 months before I could finish. So I started back doing what I love caring for seniors.
I love being a caregiver because patients tell me all the time I'm glad I met you. Also just being able to care for them in their comfortable environment. I care for my patient's like family and ensure them not to worry by letting them know this is why I'm here if they are in a time of panic.

What has attracted me to wanting to become a care giver. My grandfather... I lost him about 4 years from Parkinson's . It hurt me since we were so very close. For the last 3 months of his life I had taken care of him and my grandma.. I do believe I am at the point in my life where I would love to be able to help out someone else in need. I have the patience, experience with my family. Plus the heart to be a helper. I am a very easy person to talk to, I throughly enjoy getting to know people, and making sure they feel the best they can be. Everyone deserves to be happy.
what makes me a great caregiver? I love what I do, will go the extra mile to make sure each of my residents are happy. I enjoy being able to help others. Having a heart of giving. I have been a cna/caregiver for almost 10yrs. This field of nursing is where my heart is. I was attracted to being a caregiver when i was a little girl, visiting the nursing homes every day. I found a friend who had special needs, he taught me how to screw. Being a caregiver is a hard job at times. But my residents is what keeps me going, i look forward to my next shift knowing i'm going to visit someone that appreciates my time and love.
