Hi, Thank you for visiting my profile. I have worked in private care-giving much of my life. My mother started doing private care work when I was a young child , and I would follow her to work. It was a gift handed down from her to care for others. I'm currently a student working towards my OT Degree . I provide gentle and loving care . I have plenty of references and recommendation from my college professors. I'm very professional and will provide each patient with the respect and care they need.
After solely focusing on my three boys the last four years I am excited to meet new patients looking for dependable care and companionship. For as long as I can remember I have desired to help the elderly by showing them empathy and compassion. With a lifetime of knowledge and life experiences they can teach me so much. Sometimes it's not a glamorous job but you leave and the people feel like they have been treated with dignity and respect. Their needs are met, they're comfortable or as comfortable as you can help them become. Making their day is just a very rewarding thing for me.
I am currently working in a hospital as an RN and would like to work weekends as a caregiver. I have an early childhood degree and a bachelor's in elementary education. I have been in the education field for over 25 years and just recently decided to pursue a degree in nursing as my second career. I am enjoying it and want to add caregiving on the weekends also.
I'm a mother of 3 grown children and a Grandmother of 5 precious babies... Well one is almost 21 not a baby anymore. I'm looking for something meaningful I can do to make someone's like just a little better and have some fun doing it. I'm pretty energetic and I love to talk and i an a great Listener also.
I am a loving, outgoing, nurturing woman of God. I find great satisfaction in helping others and have a special place in my heart for children, the elderly, and those who are incapacitated. I have been there and know what it is like to need help. I am intelligent, energetic, dependable, honest, trustworthy, physically fit, and compassionate. I enjoy being a caregiver because it's about ones quality of life. I have found that helping maintain or improve the quality of life of others improves my quality of life as well. One of my greatest personal achievements is having raised a wonderful Christian son on my own. He is a physical therapist and has won numerous awards for his achievements. I have learned much from him regarding patient care. It is my goal to help my clients to the very best of my ability while bringing comfort and joy into their homes and their lives.
I have been a caregiver since I was 17. Through my ministry of being a caregiver God has allowed me to share such wonderful moments with those he has placed in my life. I haven't always seen my job as a blessing but through the years I have grown to understand that this is a part of my calling. To make a difference,.. To love beyond what I can see with my own eyes and give out of compassion... And to give comfort and support to those who need it.
I was first a caregiver for my grandparents with keeping their house, grocery shopping, and companionship. When my grandfather passed, I took care of my grandma in much the same way, but much more companionship. My mom developed renal failure, and when she became severely ill, I came home to take care of her - transportation, grocery shopping, grooming, dressing, renal meal prep, but mostly, companionship. With all three of them, my love and deep friendships with them are somethings I will never forget or ever give up. I would love to help your family and essentially love your family too.
