In some cases a caregiver needs to be able to read body language and facial expressions to understand what the client is experancing. I am good at reading people and can usually anticipate what is needed. I first became a caregiver for my father. My father was a WW II veteran with a bad leg, and legally blind. He had diabetes , nerve damage, and was on 23 medications. I took care of all his business and personal needs. After my father's death, I went back to working in a call center billing department. Eight yeasts later I didn't have much satisfaction from it. I took a position working as a live in with a couple in there late 80's who have Alzheimer's . I do light housekeeping, cooking, meds, doctor appointments. They are now in need of more care than can be provided at home. I am looking to move closer to my daughter whit my move to a new position.
