Enjoy helping with daily living

I am an extrovert, always smiling & seldom sit! If I can add a smile to someone's day or make them feel special, then both of us will have a rewarding day! I was a pediatric ophthalmology specialist in Canada; when we were transferred to the USA, I began a food manufacturing company. A friend approached me in 2015 to ask if I would help with their mum who was near vegetative status due to progressing dementia and being alone. Four months later, this beautiful Lady was walking, singing, dancing, and cooking with me - one of the most self-gratifying endeavors of my life. Now living in the beautiful hill country, retirement is not satisfying - I do volunteer at the VA hospital just to see these heroes smile, laugh & have someone to listen to them... and of course plenty of hugs! I would treasure being able to help another person find enjoyment in life. I am an optimistic energetic person. Always able to cheer up peoples loved ones during difficult times. I am loyal and reliable. I have been working privately on and off for a number of families starting at age 15. I have experience ranging from children with certain disabilities to sick adults. I had health problems that required some help when i was a young child. This is why i am happy and comfortable helping families in need.

I have 30 years of experience as a caregiver. I've had patience's with Alzheimer's ,dementia, and cancer. I've always enjoyed taking care of people . Given the opportunity to give the patient the proper care and help they needed at their time in need. And when I'm no longer needed, the smile on their face, that I did a great job for them. Most of my patients have passed away.

I have 13 years of experience in the nursing field. I am friendly, easy to get along with. I am flexible. I enjoy working & talking with people. I worked at 2 different schools for a total of 16 years & have been wanting to get back to the medical field. I enjoy helping the clients do what they may no longer be able to do by there self. I received an award for being the most outstanding aide in a hospital setting & out off all other aids I was chosen aide of the year.

Care for my grandparents before they passed away made me realize how much I love caring for the elderly. To be able to care for people like they are an extension of your family is how everyone should care for their clients. I am a proud Army vet and have a great attention to detail. I work hard and care for my clients as if they are my grandparents.
