Trustworthy, dedicated person who came from a large loving and united family where love, compassion and respect were always our main goal between family members. In high school, started vising retirement centers for the elderly and found very pleased to know that they felt comfortable under my care. I Helped every day after school on chores and activities they had in the afternoon. When studying my degree in Guadalajara Mex. worked with a family taking care of their mother, who was in need of my services since she had degenerative muscle problem. I would take her out to do different activities. Here in El Paso TX, I took care of my aunt, who had lost mobility in her legs, I was present every day in all the activities she had when she was already living in a senior community. . My personal achievement came when I took care of my brother, who became ill with cancer ( brain tumor, 4th level) at 38 years of age. It became my goal, to take care of him during the terrible moments of pain that he suffered until he passed away. A month latter I took care of my father, he suffered from depression and dementia, he was also diabetic. I administered his medications daily, and preformed the care he needed every day.

I have always been a people person all of my life. My first jobs were serving the public and then through the military. My heart always seems the happiest when I can care for others and give them the respect they deserve. With this said, I have 7 + years experience giving care to the elderly and really enjoy every minute. The special needs children that I transported back and forth from school will always hold a special plans in my heart. So do the all the seniors that I care for in the past and in the future I'm sure. I am also a personal trainer so I have experience in exercise and stretching where needed. If you are looking for someone with my type of experience. Please consider me. Thank you

I have lost a lot of family members over the years. In those years I learned the importance of companionship with loved ones. I totally understand the wanting of finding that one person that you can trust and rely to take care of your loved ones. Having a sick family member is very emotional and difficult to cope with. All you want is to find that caregiver that you can trust to look and assist your sick relative as if he or she was part of your family. I am that caregiver.
I became a caregiver/CNA because I get great joy helping people. I have always as a child, helped people. Even if i couldn't do much I would try my hardest to do all that I could. Becoming a CNA was the best thing and the most accomplished move that I've done in my life. I have 20 years experience as a CNA and I am very observant with my patients and detect when there is a change in their behavior or health. I take my job very seriously and I put my heart in everything that I do for my patients.
l have performed routine nursing procedures under the supervision of Registered Nurse or a Physician. I like to provide basic nursing techniques and am able to properly assist with moving and lifting techniques, proper exercising and ambulation techniques, Mental Health and Social Service Needs. I like to provide personal care skills such as: assisting with bathing, skin care, personal hygiene, grooming and activities of daily living.
Reason why I became a Caregiver is because of my grandmother, she was a great inspiration in my life and when she had trouble remembering things and she asks me a question repeatedly, I couldn't help myself but cried because I had no knowledge about what was going on with my grandmother, I was only 20 years old at that time I had to bathe her dress her and feed her as well. That experience really changed my life around in caring about the elderly population so I decided this is what I wanted to do, help the elderly get through their daily tasks and activities. Now as a CNA I have learned a lot from working in Nursing Facilities, Homecare Agencies, Adult Family Home & Assisted Living and all i have to say is that I love my job.

I am a very friendly person, I am also a very patient, understanding, and I also enjoy helping others. I was attracted to be a caregiver because I like to help those in need and feel like they deserve better. The thing I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is either spending some of my free-time with my patients, and simply talking to them as well. I am a proud Mother of two kids, a boy and a girl, one is 16 and the other is 9!
Growing up in a family with an medical professional (my mom)I surely made up my mind that one day I would become a nurse. After watching my mom take care and aid the sick in her home, I knew I wanted to become more hands-on with patients. While still in high school, I helped my mother aid to the sick in our home, I helped with little jobs as needed around the house. Being surrounded on a daily basis by this kind of environment is what made me want to become a caregiver. After high school I attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to become a RN. Although at the time my dream fell throw my fingers due to a car accident years down the line, a job fell into my lap at a home care/housing facility where I assisted the elderly in their home. I must say working there was very inspirational; not only did it open my eyes to the world, but it gave me the opportunity to help those who couldn't help themselves. This is what prompted me to further my education in caregiving by attending CNA school. I became a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and started working at a nursing home/rehabilitation center. I quickly learned that CNA job are different - but it challenged me to push myself harder and give 100% at all times. Now, I'm in school (lose CNA due to not renewing them because of school and can show them) to become an LVN I'm starting to see myself finally reaching my goal and help those in need. But as of now, being a caregiver is such an honor - it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. The moments when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about.
Hello my name is Rosa, I started working in the health care provider industry when my mother ended up in hospice care, following my father. I took care of them both and that just made me realize that it was my passion taking care of elders. I am caring, trustworthy and most of all very responsible, I love helping those in need. During the time that I have worked I have never had a bad incident with my patients.
