I have been a caregiver for about 6years. I enjoy meeting people and their stories from their past and present. I first became involved with caregivers went they took care of my parents. They were very caring people. I worked for the City of Denver caring for troubled teens. I have always had a job helping people and being there for the family with their loved ones.
I have been working with elderly, children, and individuals who are mentally ill for 4 years; and it has been the most rewarding job I could've ever imagined. Working with a variety of individuals has taught me how to be open to new ideas; everyone learns differently, have their own capabilities, and how to adjust the care I provide to meet their needs. I assure to assist each person but still give them their own of freedom, I will respect their willpower to try to be independent as possible, but will be next to them to help them along the way. The most rewarding thing about being a caregiver has to be helping someone and seeing their progress along the way.
I am an older grateful woman who began this wonderful opportunity late in life. I am upbeat and positive. I want to bring out the best and help a person so that they feel a sense of accomplishment. I believe that I learn more about myself through others and I have had teachers in life from all walks of life.
Being a care giver takes a special kind of person. I believe I am a great care giver as I have the heart and humanity to care for another person that needs assistance in getting by on their everyday lives. I've always been fond of the medical field and while I continue to expand my education I became a care giver to find out for myself what it was like to care for people and feeling rewarded by their gratitude. What I like most is when I bring happiness and the friendship you build with every single person.
I have been in the nursing field for 13+years. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, home health, and currently working in a psychiatric hospital. I was also certified as a medical assistant. I love helping patients in need of assistance. I'm proud of all the help I have giving to people that need assistance, especially the elderly. I have learned so much through all these years and am always open to learn more.
I have always made it a personal mission of mine to help and provide a better quality of life to others. I have cultivated patience, my integrity, compassion and diligence ever since I involved myself in this profession. I have also managed to maintain versatility as far as taking care of people of all age ranges, from infants to the elderly.
Hello I think something that sets me apart from a lot of caregivers is that I really do care for the people that I look after. I feel that many caregivers just show up to work and they forget that they are dealing with humans that have feelings. What got me interested in this line of work is I had a friend that received really bad care in a hospital while staying there and I thought to myself what a blessing I could be to someone that was in pain and how I can take care of them. What I love most about this job is the people I look after. Everyone is so unique and different it makes my job just the same, unique and different.
my job is the care and companionship of people, prepare food, bathe, change their diapers, be aware of their medications, heal wounds if necessary, check their vital signs, bathe them, treat them so that they are always at the weight what you have to have, wash them and clean your kitchen, wash your clothes, everything about cleaning your house, taking them to appointments with your doctor, going to pick up your medicine or going to buy your pantry Experrncia 4years
I have so many personality traits or expertise that help me to be a great caregiver starting that I am a very fun-loving, caring individual, with, a great heart and treat people like my family, with, respect and dignity. I am also, very dedicated and very patient. Of the many things that attracted me of being a caregiver, is that I strive to make a difference in the people's lives and i simply want to help out the clients and their families who are seeking help. Of the many things I enjoy being a caregiver is that I enjoy putting smiling faces on people. I enjoy being there and lend a helping hand. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is knowing that I can build people's trust in me to allow me to take care of them and to build relationships as if we we're like all a family, which, practically that is really who we are, all a family.
