I am a register nurse and I retired in May 2014 when I moved from Reno, Nv. to Mckinney, Tx. After a year of retirement I missed nursing and the one on one contact with patients but did not wish to return to the shift work, overtime, week-ends etc, so I tried caregiving and loved it. I graduated from nursing school in 1966 and work steadily until 2014. I have worked in the areas of neurosurgical intensive care, renal dialysis, home health, psychiatry, alcohol and drug abuse. My last place of employment was the Washoe Co Jail in Reno, Nv where i worked for over 11 years as a psychiatric nurse. I am independent and self starting with a great work ethic. I approach each client as a unique individual with unique needs and desires and I encourage them to let me know what those are. I am patient and nonjudgemental. I like building a relationship of trust and rapport with my clients. I like the satisfaction of helping them to enjoy the highest level of health and wellbeing as possible. When I worked for United Health Care I was chosen as employee of the quarter.
