I have been in the health care industry for the last twelve years. I'm a mother of three teenage boys and have also have had my cna since 2007 and am very happy in my career and enjoy what I do. Touching hearts, lending a helping hand and meeting the needs of others has helped me realize my true purpose in life.
I am 50 years old and am alone. I have grown children that are on their own. I worked for a company for 30 years and retired . I have realized I would rather be working but, doing something I love. I worked for a home health care company when I lived in east texas and really enjoyed the visits and helping those I would be assigned to. I am open to either a live in position or a position where I come and go. Honestly whatever is needed I am available for.
I became a caregiver because I love to help and take care of people. I like being a caregiver because I get to meet different people and care for them in ways that I am needed. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am able to go out and assist people with their needs and be a big help to the family as well as for the patient. I have been a CNA for 10 yrs and a Medication aide for 8yrs. I have also taken phelebotomy and EKG courses.
I became a Caregiver because I enjoy nurturing, making people comfortable, happy thus making the Client realize how important that they are. This is my-calling. I've been in this line of work/volunteering since I was a mere 21 years old. I helped my mom take care of her family that were all stricken with Cancer. In later years I then took complete care of my mom when she was diagnosed and on Hospice. Transitioning for Clients/Family can be overwhelming with dreaded diagnosis or merely aging where as help being needed in the home. I have had a 100% rate of approval by all Clients/Family, always have had a good-fit with the Family feeling at ease. I am brutally honest, I would never touch anything that doesn't belong to me. I've never been in any trouble. I have a clean record plus a fairly clean driving record. My compassion runs deep. Again, it is my niche'...my-calling to care for the elderly, less fortunate and/or those with challenges. AT this point I can only take on Sitting and Driving positions.
I love working with kids & senior citizens I feel like it's my calling. I love to clean, cook, & talk to them. I feel like me and older people connect on a different level I'm more understanding towards seniors I love to chat with them. I love seeing the smiles on there faces when I'm helping them with what ever needs they have. I am proud of the Mother I am today! My kids are well loved.
I take pride in what I do. Working with people from all walks of life is something i enjoy. I take great care of not only my family but others as well. I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 15 and I have made that dream come true. I still have a ways to go but I want to get experience anywhere I can and in all forms. I enjoy listening to stories of the past and assisting with making new memories. I understand families cannot always stay with their loved ones 24/7 so I would like to lend a hand or two. I am very patient with people and do not rush them; I try to let them continue to do what they can and not feel helpless.
I became a Caregiver because of my interest that I have with the ederly. My one patient I had for 2 years recently passed away 2 years ago. And I got so attached to him and his wife and they were just like my own family. They could count on me to do whatever they needed if she needed something from the grocery store or errands to be done if she couldn't make it too the store. What I liked about being a Caregiver is the love and compassion and as of Today I still won't to become a nurse. My personal achievements that I'm proud of is making a difference with the individual that I would take care for. Making sure there he/she wont's are met and everything is looking up to part. A little about myself is I'm 34 years old and I have 2 children of the age of 12 years old and 10 years old. Both of my children attend Teague ISD school district
