My passion for caring for others is what makes me a good caregiver. I started working in a hospital years ago as a housekeeper but I always knew I was supposed to be hands on with patient because I was always to curious would follow the nurses around inquiring about what it was they were doing and how they did it. My sisters were caregivers at the time and I would tell them how do you guys do it I don't know if I'm able to do what you all do. Years later here I am, an I wouldn't question myself one time I absolutely love what I do every morning my feet touches the ground I know that one of my residents are going to make my day I currently work in Hospice care and for me to know that I make the last days of my resident life the best is my mission seeing them leave this earth is painful if I said it didn't hurt are even get to me I wouldn't be telling the truth. I'm human and it's not just a job it's my life and to think as it as just a job is only caring about yourself, I care a lot about every resident I touch and by me caring is what makes me go the extra mile in caring for them. I have four daughters of my residents that are no longer with us that could explain a little more about what and how I touched their lives it would be my pleasure to share there information with you. ... more
