I feel like what makes me an outstanding caregiver is that I love what I do. Making a difference in people's lives and being giving of yourself is what I think life is about. I find enjoyment in taking care of people and helping make their day a little easier.I have been a CNA for 18 years and haven't regretted a moment of it. Of course you have your trying days but you push right through it and take a positive attitude to remind yourself of the greater purpose for being in this field. I became a caregiver when my grandfather became ill from cancer. I assisted my grandmother in caring for him until he passed away. I was 14 years old at the time. After graduating high school I got my CNA licence and haven't looked back. My personal achievement was finishing Vocational Nursing school and continuing on to my RN degree.
