About Silahis

My name is Silahis. I am a dedicated, excellent candidate. My availability is flexible. Before doing personal care professionally I went through the nursing program but dropped out a semester and a half shy of finishing the program and then pursued massage therapy and received my license caring for special needs children. My personal caregiving journey started when my aunts had breast cancer and mother had a stroke and needed assistance. I am happy to help with social support (I enjoy being around my elders). My skills and prior experiences include caring for family members since I was a little girl to caring for an ALS client who was wheelchair bound, needed PEG-tube feeding, and breathing assistance as well as massage therapy. Other duties I do include helping with gait and balance, light meal prep, medication administration and management, driving family and clients to their appointments and managing/organizing their computer, and on some cases providing massage therapy. On a personal side, I love photography, reading books, movies, music, fishing, learning and exploring.
