What makes a great caregiver is someone who has a passion to help other people and who also has empathy. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a minor in Social Work. I chose this field because I love helping other people. I feel that in the United States, our elderly are not properly taken care of and a lot of them are exploited, abused and ignored. I want to join a group of people that prevents this from happening. My mother has Alzheimer's and I have worked with the elderly in The Caring Place in Georgetown and I have a lot of compassion for people of all ages, but especially the elderly. I love learning from them and I look forward to working with them. I will treat your mom or dad like they were my own and I always give 200% in what I do. I am always on time and I am a very dedicated and motivated caregiver. ... more

I have a great relationship with both the clients and their families and love going to work every day. ... more

Oct 2004 - Dec 2015

My mother has Alzheimer's and I have spent many years helping her through this traumatic change in her life. Although she still lives with my dad, he gets frustrated very easily and has a difficult time dealing with her. Before I came to Texas, I was there to help my mom in every possible way. I have taken courses in Aging and Alzheimer's and that is where I think that I can do the most good.
