I have been a caregiver my entire life. I helped my single dad raise my younger siblings, and when my grandfather had multiple strokes I became his home health care aide at the age of 16. I have experience with dementia and Alzheimer's along with memory care. I have always cares for those around me that can't care for themselves. The good lord knew I have a heart for caring for others and he blessed me with a wonderful autistic child. Caring for others gives me so much joy. It makes my heart happy to know I'm performing an honorable service and giving back. I love getting to know new people and hear abo ut their lives. Visiting and reminiscing with my clients. I prefer home care because unlike in the facilities I can get to know my clients personally. Know their likes and dislikes. It makes me feel like I'm providing the best care possible. ... more
