I'm a very patient person and I sympathize with the person in pain, because everything ive going through. I like to work with the elderly because it makes me feel that im not just making money but also that I'm doing something good as a human being. you never stop learning with them. they're full of wisdom. I also have learn and get so much experience working with patients all this years specially with cases of alzhimers and dementia. I worked for Brookdale that is a very good and big home assistant living. I worked in the area of patients with dementia. but i love the experience i had in the past wo rking one to one. i think i can give the best of me to that one person that needs me with him/her. i worked 2 years with a person that was in a lot of pain and I took a good care of him. I stay with him until his last breath. that was the best time I had as a caregiver because we gave each other a lot of our best. ... more

The person I took care could walk, couldn&apos;t eat by himself, I have to put diapers on him, clean him, bathe him, prepare his meals. He had diabitis so I have to check his blood sugar and give him a shut of insulin. Also he urinated through a caterer. It was in the low area of his stomach (Supra Pubic Caterer) I had to clean the area constantly. Also, he had dementia. I&apos;m not a therapist but I make him do exercises for arm s and legs&nbsp; ( I learned from his therapist) so when the therapist didn&apos;t come anymore, I continue with the exercises to prevent more damage in his legs and arms. <br> I called Doctors and made the appointments. I live in his house Monday through Friday. I took good care of him. I talk to him a lot, I helped him to make him comfortable as much as I could. He was a pianist so he love to hear Beethoven and others incredible pinists. I enjoy this job is very demanding but is worth it to help elder people. They may forgot stuff but they never forget to love and thank the people who shows them love and respect. ... more
