I understand that as people are sick, aged or life has just happened they need someone who is willing to listen have patience and at time just squeeze their hand which says I'm here, the least of all a smile can change someone's day.. hi my name is NYREE THOMAS, I am forty-three yrs old, I first beginned to work as a caregiver straight out of high school, my first client was my very own grandfather. I saw so much pain in his face everyday because he did not want me to have to go through the heartache of caring for him knowing that one day he would not be here much longer, but I did it anyways. after he passed I knew from that moment I knew caring for seniors was what I wanted to do. caring for senior citizens bring me so much joy to see how much they are so grateful that we as cargivers care enough to take the time out to care for others as well as their own. I have been doing this kind of work for twenty-three yrs and as I stated before I love it. I have two beautiful and loving sons whom are my whole world, they are adults now but they will always be my babies I still care for them like I do everyone else. I am proud of all of my achievements starting with the love and compassionate heart I have. when I wake up each morning knowing that I am about to go and put a smile on another clients face and let them know that their lives are just beginning each and everyday, knowing that they feel a whole lot better than they did before I arrived at their door.

I also put two daughters though college.what I like most about being a care giver is to know I can make a difference in that person life, and knowing that I can give them hope and encouragement.
I am very caring and loving. I have over 15 years of experience as a caregiver. I love people! What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping in whatever the patient needs help with I will deliver my all and most importantly take care for them. I feel a great satisfaction when i know i was able to do for someone that needed my help. I have always been very compassionate towards people but when my grandma got a stroke a few years back I really understood how hard it is to trust someone with your loved one. She is one of the main reasons why I take great care and take pride in what I do.
I'm a nice, outgoing and caring caregiver who loves to listen to old stories from the elderly. I'm very patient and dependable. also I'm very attentive to changes with love ones. I've always had a passion to work with people that have Alzheimer and dementia, they are loving people. The thing I love most about being a caregiver is being able to assist someone who is in need of my help. Helping others I think has always been my calling so I chose to work with the elderly. A personal achievement that I am proud of is going through an Alzheimer's and Dementia training and getting to experience real life struggles that they deal with

With my great work ethic, positive personality and reliability I would be a strong candidate for this position. I create a special bond with every senior/client under my care and make every moment fun and memorable with their safety always coming first. I am confident of my great qualities and values that every client/senoir will be happy about.
I've been in the healthcare field for almost 10yrs. My motto is to be the caregiver that I want in the future. I've worked in many nursing homes, assisted living and memory care facilities. When I worked at autumn Leaves as a CNA, I was offered the position as a Life Engagement Specialist. Within my new position, my role included conducting activities and exercises. When I started the exercise routine, I made some changes to make it more fun for everyone. Within 3months, it went from 20% participation to 60%. I've worked with all type of patients and residents and also understand that this change is not only on the client but also effects the family members as well. My goal is to pay it forward for those who are in need.

The level of being patient and I do more of listening than talking so it makes me a great care giver. I took care of my grandma for 3 years so it gave me that passion to feel for others and treat them like my family. I am about to take my CNA board exam and I have made people smile each time am around them.
