I receive a lot of gratitude from helping others. I especially enjoy helping the elderly. I cherish the friendships I make on my job. Even after some of my clients go to other agencies we remain friends. I have even been known to assist my clients on my days off if they are in need. I am a very caring and compassionate person. I don't treat my clients as a \"job\" , but I try to get to know them as a person. I take interest in their lives and needs. I treat each client as if they were my parent or family member. I would not have been in this field for 30 years for the pay. I do it for the satisfaction of helping others. The best achievement on my job was when I helped one of my clients that was choking. His wife just hugged me and kept saying thank God you were here. As I stated I have been doing this type of work for over 30 years. I have made and lost many friends throughout this time. I go above and beyond what is ask of my employer. I used to take a client's dog to the groomer on my days off, because she could not drive. I have bought them food with my own money until their checks came in. I really enjoy helping others and gain a lot of self gratitude from just a thank you.
