I'm a compassionate, caring and dependable person..I started caring for elder when i was young when my grandmother used to lived with us in the Philippines. I was trained and able to help my mother in taking care of my old grandmother, who's blind because of diabetes. During my internship as a Physical Therapy student in college, we were exposed in an outreached program that we need to care and treat elderly patients in a facility, there I knew that I had a heart on them because they reminded me of my grandmother who passed away. Then last April this year before we migrate here in Texas I cared for my father in the Philippines who was unable to walk after his fall. From donning to doffing of diaper, grooming, bathing and isometric exercises for him to regain his strength back.

    Last April of this year before we move in here in Texas a month ago, I personally took care of my 73 yrs old father in the Philippines who became incapacitated after his fall, wheelchair bound, total assist needed due to some complications of his colon cancer and diabetes. My routine are donning and doffing of adult diaper since he already suffered incontinence, bathing, grooming everyday, feeding because of his resting tremors, emptying & cleaning of his colostomy pouch and transfers. I taught him some strengthening exercises on his upper extremities for him to be able to help in getting up from bed and on his lower extremities for him to participate in bed to wheelchair transfers. I only do light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation sometimes because my mother is still around to help. Errands, grocery shopping, bill payments, doctor's appointment, medicine preparation are also mine since both of my parents are old.
