what makes me a caregiver is the simple fact that I love what I do. I take care of my patients like I would my own grandmother/grandfather, aunt/uncle & so on . I became a caregiver at first so that I could help support my family, I ended up loving what I do and would not choose any other profession. I love the elderly, I get very attatched for what I think because I feel compassion for them and I would hope that one day when I am in their shoes, I hope someone will take care of me the way I do for my patients. What I love about being a caregiver is that I get to know my people on a one-on-one basis, I get to hear their stories whether they be good or bad and get to see a little glimpse of what it was like to be in their shoes. A personal achievement I am proud of is that even though I have children I feel being a caregiver is something GOD has given me the ability to do so that I can be there for your loved ones when you are not able, so that they don't have to feel alone and so that they know they will always have a friend in me who genuinely cares for them and who would go above and beyond to give them the best loving care. so I know that if I didn't do anything else right in life I know that I did my best to take care of your loved ones.
