I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 27 years ago, at that time I didn't comprehend exactly her condition but I knew that I am the one who is supposed to take care of her needs especially after her chemo therapy. I started liking the idea of being a care giver. I have been Caring for patients after their surgery, Children with mental/physical disability, and Elderly that have been diagnosed with various illnesses and diagnosed with Alzheimer. Being a CNA, Care giver, and patient case manager give me a reasonable meaning of life and made me appreciate it more During my time working with family members of clients/ patients empower my ability to become the person who I am today, I understand , I respect, and I care for everyone, with all different demographic background. Actively participates and advocates on behalf of families (of children diagnosed with mental and physical disabilities) in Community Resource Coordination Groups (CRCG), case management coalitions, and community organizations. Coordinate with a variety of vendor service providers to develop specific care plans, service brokers, scheduling appointments, and facilitating communication between family members, medical and social. I finished school and graduated with a bachelor of science in social science from Florida State University, I have a 27 years of work experienced combined as a care giver, CNA, Administrator/ Operation manager, and a case manager
