About Alan

The joy I brought to my grandmother when I would spend time talking with her and helping her with errands and those simple tasks, like cooking or walking she once could do on her own was very rewarding to me. At that point in my life at the age sixteen I knew I would become a care giver. Being a care giver is very rewarding . It brings so much joy into your life when you see Those who need help happy. I go the extra mile in everything I do. For example, there was a time when I was taking care of a woman who was bed bound. I worked with her for months and she started to walk and the family was very proud of both of us. I'm a very hard working person who is caring, compassionate, and honest; someone you can trust and rely on. I'm funny and easy going. Letters of recommendations: My name is Karen Withers and I’m writing about the care given to my mother for nearly a year by Alan Lauscher. My mom was injured during a surgery in June of 2011 and has needed 24 hour care. Alan has provided loving, consistent, skilled nursing care to my mother. Alan performed all nursing duties including but not limited to medication, hygiene, toileting, food preparation, wound care, etc. We can whole heartedly recommend Alan for the care of any patient you need care for. Please feel free to contact me for more information at withfam@yahoo.com or 512-388-1430. Sincerely, Karen Withers

I receive a lot of gratitude from helping others. I especially enjoy helping the elderly. I cherish the friendships I make on my job. Even after some of my clients go to other agencies we remain friends. I have even been known to assist my clients on my days off if they are in need. I am a very caring and compassionate person. I don't treat my clients as a \"job\" , but I try to get to know them as a person. I take interest in their lives and needs. I treat each client as if they were my parent or family member. I would not have been in this field for 30 years for the pay. I do it for the satisfaction of helping others. The best achievement on my job was when I helped one of my clients that was choking. His wife just hugged me and kept saying thank God you were here. As I stated I have been doing this type of work for over 30 years. I have made and lost many friends throughout this time. I go above and beyond what is ask of my employer. I used to take a client's dog to the groomer on my days off, because she could not drive. I have bought them food with my own money until their checks came in. I really enjoy helping others and gain a lot of self gratitude from just a thank you.

What makes me be a good caregiver is that i have good customer service skills .I am proud to say I always smile, it goes a long way! The reason I got into caregiving- my dad got sick and I wanted to take care of him so I decided to go to school. Now that God has blessed me to be a great caregiver I want to help someone else to get the best care.
