Hello my name is Karen Reyes and I am 24 years old. I am currently enrolled in South Texas College, and I plan to major in Education. My personality traits that expertise me as a caregiver is that I truly love spending time with children just as much as I love spending time with the elderly. They somehow are similar. They need our help and guidance . I am very patient, loving, caring, and gentle person that this traits help me have a connection with the elderly. I love to hear their stories as they are full of experience in life. The idea of being a caregiver sprouted from the awful picture I see everytime sons and daughters tend to forget about their parents. Nobody deserves to be forgotten or left alone. The thing I enjoy the most is being with them and being there for them and helping them live their days to the fullest and enjoy themselves. The most personal achievement I have s that I returned to school in the most difficult time of my life. I was working and at the same time taking care of my mom even tho I had a brother and a sister that were to busy enjoying life while they forgot that they had a mother that suffers from depression. diabetes, and early stages of Alzheimer's. I really hope I can get this job because now I realize that in difficult times companionship from a someone helps soothe the pain.
