I started volunteering at Amedisys Hospice for 3 years then started working at Thank You Nurses, Girling and SoftTouch these past years. I have enjoyed taking care of people, bringing a smile to their face and being their companiship. Being a Caregiver actually was inspired by my mother who passed away 12 years ago. She was never alone at the hospital or while she was in Hospice. But I would see many patients that were alone and lonely and who desired company. Because of my mother passing I take care all my clients as they were my family and how I would love to be treated. One client in particular who I had the pleasure in caring for 11 months. Recently, passed away, but we have enjoyed many times together. I do her hair, paint her nails, even dance with my clients just to put on a smile to their face. I know everyone has a story to tell and it is a great honor to hear them as you get to know them. And I am proud to say that in their last days they had someone who really cared about them and loved them just as family. And most importantly they had fun. Who doesn't want to have fun? I am a very hard worker, who loves to listen, learn new things and explore. And I also like to have fun.
