My reason for becoming a caregiver is I found it was my calling (gift). I began many years ago caring for my grandmother, then resigning from a job to care for my mother who had brain cancer. However, I enjoy bringing joy to those who maybe having issues with caring for themselves. I love engaging in assisting in activities, accompanying them to outings, but most of comforting when I observe fear or pain of any kind. My greatest asset as a caregiver is knowing the family can continue living their lives without worry of their love one being cared for in excellence.
