I became a caregiver after the death of my biological mother and witnessing the needs she had prior to her death with her illness. I enjoy the ability to assist others and to care for patients. I believe that I have been in a wonderful field and enjoy the interactions with my patients and the family members. I have been in the field for over 20 years in one aspect or another. I have been employed as a licensed vocational nurse for 10 plus years and have greatly enjoyed it. I have recently moved and am now looking for more of a one to one situation to care for an individual and be able to devote more of my time and care to the one instead of having to spread my care among numerous patients at a time. I feel that I may better serve the patient in this capacity.
