Hey ! I'm Cassie , 35 years old, I'm a huge cat lover and cat momma. I have 16 years caregiving. I got my CNA license right out of high school. My first job was at cornerstone retirement working overnights in the Alzheimer's unit, and then doing hospice in Atlanta, private sitting, I've worked 4 years in group homes for mentally challenged individuals and people with disabilities. I'm also worked in assisted living. I have a ton of experience but not current on my CNA license. I have certificates in home health aid and Alzheimer's and dementia care from UMAS where I took courses in 2016. I believe what makes me an awesome caregiver is my compassion to help others and my heart of gold. That's what makes me great at my job. When you can't help but get attached to clients that they somehow become like your family and personally I treat people like I would my own nana or grandpa. I've been around long enough to know that dementia and Alzheimer's are horrible diseases and it's not really them doing certain things or acting a certain way, so I never take it personal. I wear my heart on my sleeve and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I just want to be good to people in whatever time they have left on this earth .
