I have worked before as a caregiver in Heritage Village many year ago and i just love it. I did find myself getting emotional and caring deeply for the residents .. My skills as caregiver were not hard to do . Helping ,caring for the elderly is very important to give all your attention to them and assist with every duty that is needed... As a caregiver my duties were preparing meals , companionship and housekeeping and there laundry .... prepare and monitor there medications daily or weekly ,, keeping track of there medicines... I would take them to church on Sundays and run errands too .. picking up there prescriptions and taking them to there Dr appt . The best time was when they would tell me sit down and listen to them tell me stories of there past and watch tv with them and that would make me feel so proud to be able to listen to them and be part of ther lives .at moment
