About Felicia

I became a Caregiver because after working over 19 years in custumer service/sales, I wanted to do something that would allow me to give back to society instead of taking from it. I wanted to offer my help to those who needed it the most. The best thing about being a caregiver is seeing the smiles on my client's faces when I come in to work or picking up the phone and hearing them on the other end asking how was my day when I was off from work. I enjoy taking my client's new places and introducing them to new things; such as, the zoo, amusement parks, museums, and even swimming. My personal achievement is meeting my husband, who has taught me financial stability and has taken me on several adventures all over the world. I enjoy meeting new people and helping those in need. I believe that we should "pay it forward" without looking for anything in return, because I know that God will bless me as I bless others. I am VA Med Ceritified and CPR/First Aid Certified.

Conducted one-on-one sessions with students of 2 middle schools, a 9th grade school, and a high school assisting them with anger management, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and other issues of adolescences. Coordinated and facilitated after school programs that are designed to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use as well as reduce bullying and fighting by establishing positive norms, self motivation, and by building self-confidence. Assisted students and their families in making positive choices, in leading self directed lives, and in contributing to their communities. Clerical duties which included, but were not limited to creating: informational flyers, bulletins, quarterly newsletters, and permission slips for various programs.

I am laid back and easy going. My clients like me because I allow them to do whatever they're able to do. I only help them to keep them safe. I feel my client find their autonomy one of the most important things they have left. I love this work. I feel like I'm an important part of these people's lives. The one thing I hate is when I have to leave them for one reason or another.
