About Kathy

I have worked in geriatrics with well-aged and the frail elderly my entire career. I know the importance in keeping a loved one home in their own bed as long as it is physically unsafe. I have worked as an assisted living nursing director and administrator, was the Erie County Ombudsman Director, operated a social day care and must rewardingly work hands on with the elderly. I enjoy interacting with people and their families. I have been the primary caregiver for both my parents so I know the love and devotion needed to transition into caregiver from child.

Hello, Im Christina, I am a great caregiver because I am compassionate and have a very good amount of patience. I understand what most people are going through and have the ability to be very sympathetic towards each individual and their own unique situation. Everyone needs a little assistance every now and then and helping others in something I take pride in. I treat my clients with much respect and make sure they are happy and comfortable. It makes me feel better about myself knowing that I can help make someone's life a little easier and put a smile on their face.

I grew up living within walking distance of my grandparents on both sides of my family. My great grandmother lived with my family and I for a number of years and my mother was her caregiver. When my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's he lived with us as well. My granny and my grandparents were big parts of my life and lead me to a love and great respect for the elder population. I moved to Buffalo from Syracuse and my first job here was with Home Instead Senior Care. Through the amazing seniors I met, I realized that serving the elderly was what I wanted to do. I am a compassionate, patient and creative human, and I would like to use these traits to help others. I believe that helping someone live at home for as long as possible is so valuable to the individual, and their families in so many ways. I want to help to make that possible for the elderly of Western NY!
