My major objective for becoming a caregiver is to make a difference in people's lives. People need a doctor to diagnose and treat their diseases and ailments, they need a nurse to administer medication and treatment when they are sick. However, at all times they need a caregiver to listen to them, attend to their everyday needs and treat them with compassion. That is where I come in. What I like about being a caregiver is that it affords me the opportunity to use what I have, the skill, knowledge, experience coupled with love, honesty and integrity to help people in need. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.

I became a caregiver because I love taking care of people in general. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I really love helping people who need my help and to take care of they everyday needs. Someone who's aware of important information that a giving directly to me. I also graduated as a medical assistant from Everest Institute college. I also carry my Medical Assistance certificate diploma. I'm a very kind hearted, honest, reliable, hard working, responsible, trustworthy caregiver provider that you'll ever meet. I Assisted elderly clients, at their homes, with their daily life activities. Took vital signs and documented the results. Transferred clients from beds to chairs. Prepared and cooked meals. Washed dishes and laundry. Swept, mopped, and vacuumed floors. Provided companionship, medication reminders, and shopping services. Notified nurses of changes in behaviors or conditions. Followed all rules, regulations, and procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality health care services.
