I. Rotary Vestibular Testing (RVT) - Also known as rotational chair, this test assesses how the balance system and eyes are working together. During this test, the patient sits in a chair that turns slowly from side to side. Small gel stickers are placed on the forehead and beside each eye. These stickersjrnonitor eye movements provided by the balance system as the chair moves. 2. Videonystagmography (VNG) - To monitor and record eye movements during VNG testing, computerized goggles are placed over the eyes. These goggles include two cameras that focus on the pupils of the eyes, therefore, it is important that no eye make-up be used that may negatively influence this recording. VNG testing includes several assessments: * Oculomotor Testing- The patient is instructed to keep his/her head still and follow a red light as it moves to different positions along a light bar. * Positioning/Positional Testing - During positioning testing, involuntary eye movements are observed and recorded in response to various head movements and positions. * Calorics- During caloric testing, air is introduced to the ear canal via a probe. First, the right ear is stimulated with warm air and the responding eye. movements are measured and recorded. Next, the left ear is stimulated with warm air and the responding eye movements are measured and recorded. Cool air is presented to each ear in the same fashion. This test may or may not result in a woozy or dizzy sensation

Checked patient's pulse, temperature, and respiration. Provided patient's with help moving in, wheelchairs, or automobiles and with dressing and grooming. Applied clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages, under direction of nurse or physician, Document everything In nursing log.
