I recently retired and took on a volunteer job that matches drivers to seniors who need rides to doctors appointments. This was the beginning of my understanding of what a need there is out there for caring services. I gradually found myself taking on temporary care giving jobs. Most of them in a role as a companion, cook and errands. I love all the good feelings I get from my clients and the sense that I am making peoples lives better and more comfortable. Recently I completed the training to be a teacher of "Conscious Aging". I took this training so that I would better understand some of the issues associated with aging in order to help my clients. I am a "young" retiree and most of my clients enjoy the energy and light I bring to my work.
