I am a great caregiver because I am very detail oriented, very kind, patient, very personable. I became a caregiver because I love helping people and making sure they are taken care of. I am cpr certified, patient care aide certified and have been taking care of peope`s need for 5 years.
I have excellent verbal and written communication. I believe in order to take care of a person there has to be a direct line of communication, strong communication skills is the most important thing for me. I have great astute observation skills. It is my dutie to observe the client's day-to-day physical and mental health. Since doctors and nurses can't be around their patients all the time, i tend to keep a keen eye on my clients and report even the slightest changes. I have the ability to follow set rules and protocol. I understand each senior care patient has a plan of care that must be executed by myself and the clients support team. The client's health and well-being is what's most important. I also have great time management and organizational skills. The most important skill I can bring to the table is my empathy and compassion. I feel these are vital qualities, and help me and the client to have an understanding.
I think I am a great caregiver because I go above and beyond for my patients. I meet every need there is possible. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I've always taken care of my grandma and grandpa since I was able to. The most I enjoy about being a caregiver is getting to know my patients and learning about them. My personal achievement I'm proud of is graduating high school and pursing my career as a nurse.
