Being a Caregiver is more than just a job to me. I have a Huge Heart filled with love and Compassion. I have been a CNA for many years. I believe you treat someone the way you would want to be treated. With Dignity and Respect.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
I am very hospitable and compassionate when it comes to caring for others, I like to make sure that the patient's well being is optimally achieved by any means in the best way possible. I love making patients happy and feel that they are good hands, and that they can trust that their care will be considered of utmost importance. An achievement personal to me is that I ventured out to become more independent and self-sufficient.
I became a caregiver because I gain self worth in knowing that I can and will provide quality personal care to my clients. I enjoy listening to my client because they have so much wisdom and just to have a listening ear because many clients are lonely and are comforted by my presence because of my relaxed nature. I am proud to accomplish my independency . I love people and tend to find positive traits, I have a quiet manner but can professionally resolve a difference of opinion....with a smile.
I have been a C.N.A. for now 2 years. I love what I do. My great grandma is who inspired me to be who I am today i took care of my great grandma for 5years she passed away 2years ago that's when I decided to do something i enjoyed doing. I wish I would have done the schooling when she was alive so I could have took better care of her i had no idea how to take care of prevent bed sores. No knowledge at all on bed sores.. But I did i know she would be proud of me. I treat my patients as if I'm taking care of my mom or grandma. I treat others how I want to be treated. I am good at what I do i do not mind working weekends or nights i am up for any shift. I work hard and always on time.
I have always enjoyed being a caregiver even when I was I young...I enjoy spending time with my great great grandmother. Talking, spending time and just helping always brought me joy. People always seem to forget about the elderly. They get older, they have families and they forget about grandma or grandpa..mama or dad. The elderly are still people...they still have feelings..they get lonely and they need help. I love to laugh and laughter is the best medicine. As we get older sometimes it's the little things that bring us happiness and I enjoy being able to bring that to people. I do have a 7yr old daughter. Has to leave by 7:25-3:25pm for school. So anything in between is available. Any other hours can probably be allowed in if my mother is available. She also works in health at a hospital.
I became a caregiver to provide a much needed service to the elder in my area and surrounding county's. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I like providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. Meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. My biggest personal achievement would be making the decision to go back to school. I am a student at a local community college majoring in an RN degree. I have been caregiving for 20 years and "still love what I do".
