Hello my name is Savannah. I am 19 years old and have been working with kids in my church nursery ever since I was 13. I went on a missions trip to Ukraine and visited the special needs orphanages and knew that's what I wanted to do. The last family I worked with was a family of 9 kids with Down syndrome. I absolutely fell in love with these kids. I realized a gift that I never knew I had. I had never worked with special needs kids before I met their family they said that God gave me a true gift. I'm looking for a new job working with special needs kids who I adore.
I have an outstanding personality, I have a love for people and enjoy taking care of the elderly. I got into the field of taking care of the elderly when my grandmother became ill and could no longer take care of herself. I moved her in with me abd took care of her until she passed. I use to work in a nursing home. And most of the residents wanted to be in there home. So I made the move to help them stay in there home. I love what I do.

I became a caregiver at the request of a friend to be a live-in caregiver for her father who had alzhimers, dementia, diabetes, and some personal hygiene issues. When he was placed in an assisted living facility I went to work for First Choice Nurses and became a caregiver for a 76yoa female mrs doumar working 12hr shifts mon-thur, I also was a caregiver for a 55male patient with ALS for about 6 weeks and attended to all his needs for he was bedridden. I like being a caregiver because I feel like I respond compassionately to the patients and their needs and care a great deal about their own feelings. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having the patient tell me they are glad I am taking care of them and that they feel safe with me. I am 57 yoa and have been care giving for a year and have found that I really enjoy it and would like to continue it. My live in and mrs doumar have both passed away as of September of this year 2014 and at this moment I do not have any patients. I would love to interview with you please feel free to call me and please leave a message so that I may call you back thank you Vanessa sanders 757-353-7158
I've been a caregiver since 2013. I love what I do. I love being able to help others. It gives me a sense of enjoyment knowing that I am doing everything and anything I can to help others. I decided to become a caregiver my senior year of high school. And worked towards that goal. I've worked in a facility for 3 years and have done home health for about 2. I like home health better simply because it gives me a chance to have that one on one connection with my client and allows me to give them my full attention and care.
I am a very patient person who understands that any age of a person needs help. I love caring for elderly , men , women, children and mentally challenged people because it's a job that needs kindness, a heart and respect. I enjoy my job because I learn something new everyday. I bring smiles to faces and help make families comfortable. I'm proud of my work I do because it makes me a better person.
When I was 8 years old my grandmother came to live with us after grampa died. She had arthritis in both arms, and needed help. She jokingly called me her right hand man, as I helped her. She was my best buddy growing up, and my love for her was deep. I felt needed and appreciated, as our love grew. It was the Launchpad for my caregiving career. I enjoy care giving, because I love to help people improve their quality of life, as they gain the satisfaction of gaining independence. It allows them to stay in their own home, and keeping them happy not having to feel abandoned in a nursing home. I guess my personal achievement would be the wonderful people I have been blessed to work with over the years, the quality relationships we have enjoyed together. My clients love my love, and we treat each other like family. Several of them have told me they wanted to adopt me. I have six adopted mom's and five adopted dad's. I enjoy working with the elderly, they have so much wisdom to share. I love people. All backgrounds, sizes and shapes.I like to sew, enjoy plants, and love animals. I have a dog, who is a sweetheart.
