I have been a Registered Nurse for 20 years. I began my healthcare career as a CNA when I found work at a Skilled Nursing facility. This facility trained me as a CNA. I fell in love with nursing at that point; although, I had applied to nursing schools years before. I was not immediatly excepted into nursing school and went to college for two years accomplishing three years of college credit in two years under a Biochemistry major. Years later after working as a CNA, I returned to college and obtained my RN. I am currently seeking work to supplement my income as a home health care worker. I have many years of supervisory, educational and direct care experience with patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions. I have been in Skilled and Long Term Care facilities for 15 years now. I have enjoyed meeting all of my patients and have learned so much from them. It gives me great joy to be of help to someone experiencing the difficulties of recovering from or living with any type of illness even in small ways . I pride myself in being able to give comfort in times of distress and to be nurturing to the mind, body and soul.
