I vividly remember my grandparents while I was growing up and how much I loved them and loved my relationship with them. The importance of caring for our elderly and keeping their stories, their contributions to our country and communities alive is so personal to me. My parents and other family members always cared for the elderly in my family or their neighbors. This was instilled in myself and my siblings from a young age and I instill this social responsibility in my own children . In college I began caring for my first client and fell in love with the job and of course came to love and respect my client as if she were my own grandmother. And it has been like that ever since. It is vital for seniors to feel comfortable and settled in their own home/environment and I make sure they stay feeling that way.
