It takes a lot to be a great caregiver. If the patient is happy and comfortable, then so am I. I'm great with holding a conversation and when given instructions I follow them exactly. I've cared for two older folks before and absolutely adored the time I spent with them. I've always had an open heart for people I can assist. Really good at cleaning up and preparing a meal/snack. Anything needed specifically for your family member I can do!

As a highly competent caregiver companion, I bring a service- focused and hardworking attitude to this role. I maintain an efficient and organized work mentality as I assist in the care of several geriatric and chronically ill patients. I have an instinct for problem solving and work well independently and with little oversight. I am compassionate, outgoing, resourceful, and believe that trust and honesty are key when in a caregivers role. I was attracted to care giving due to my need of wanting to help people. What I enjoy the most is building a bond and being apart of the recovery process. My biggest achievement in care giving was being able to help my mom over a period of two years recover from her Ru in y Gastric bypass surgery. Prior to her surgery she had diabetes and kidney disease for 3 years and didn't think she would make it to the age of 40. After her surgery I was apart of the recovery process and seeing her healthy and free of diabetes and kidney disease has been the best experience and biggest accomplishment in my life. Therefore I want to continue and help others because its what I truly love to do.
I completed my CNA classes about two weeks ago and now looking into getting into Home Health Care. I have a lot of patience and enjoy spending time with people. I love being there for someone's love one when they can't be, but they know that they are being well taken care of and watched over. I am very proud of finishing my CNA class with a 93%. I am scheduled to take my State Boards on June 9, 2018.
I have been a CNA for 25yrs and I am very passionate about the care that I give to others. I became a CNA in 1989 and I have worked in most areas of elderly care. I am very outgoing and I love to bring comfort and care to my clients as well to the whole family. Working in hospice care is just one of my personal achievement, it gave me a all round perspective on life in all ages. It was truly a blessing to be able to comfort people in there last stages of life.

I became a caregiver 18 years ago when (at that time) my mothers employer was looking for a 'fill-in' person so I gave it a try and absolutely fell in love with what I did! I love being a caregiver, because I find great joy in helping others!! I have worked with a great deal amount of Seniors and I have helped them to be able to stay in their homes! I have a passion for helping others! I am a very energetic, trustworthy, reliable and caring individual!! I am able to provide great references upon request!!
I am a very loving, caring, and nurturing person. What attracted me most about being a caregiver is that it is important that the elderly or disabled be protected by those who care for them. I consider myself an advocate for those who are elderly or disabled. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is talking and caring for those who are in need. The personal achievement I am most proud of is owning a child development center, that I built from ground up.
I have good personality and interpersonal traits, my expertise range from the basis of love care and support which i have done for many years in Cape Town South Africa. I was mainly attracted to become a care giver when i saw the need from seniors in South Africa who lived on their own and have to go on their own to the super market to buy food in dangerous areas where they can be mugged and have their money taken from them. I enjoy socializing with the seniors, listening to their past experiences and also learning from their sickness or illness be it diabetics or any other disease, i love learning more on how best they love to be treated. I cared for my late mother in-law who had diabetics and i enjoyed every minute of helping her to manage her sugar levels and monitoring and record keeping of all the readings. I am proud of the fact that i had this quality time to be a care giver in my home to my mother as well as to my mother in-law. I have also cared for Senator Jack Edward Jones in Harare Zimbabwe at the age of 18, i had the love to care for seniors. He had been mugged and tripped on his hip bone and underwent surgery, upon discharge from the hospital, i personally managed the care at home until he could get out of bed. I did bed baths and i loved it because i knew he cant do it for himself, then who else if i was present in the home, it had to be me.
