Having worked in various health care professions, I find it a passion of mine to work with our elderly senior populations. I have both professional and personal experience working with loved ones who may be suffering from Diabetes, requiring assistance with meal preparations, running errands, and providing positive companionship with someone who suffers from Dementia & Alzheimer's Disease. I am proud to say that I am an honorable person who truly cares about anyone they work with, and I will always treat all individuals I provide care for as if they are my own family.

Some of my personality traits are being good at making new friends or new relationships with others. I consider myself very outgoing and friendly. Something that attracted me to be a care giver is the opportunities and knowledge I can get out of, and also when I used to care for my grandma, I enjoyed that time with her. What I enjoyed more when caring for mg grandma was being able to be there for her whenever she needed me as well as assist her in her basic needs, and going on walks with her. A personal achievement I am proud of is returning back to college after taking almost 3 years off.

I am a caregiver for 26 years. I am a loving and compassionate caregiver. I am working with elderly for more than 20 years and four years with adults with developmental disabilities. Performed my tasks, to assisted residents/ individuals their daily activiites, exercises, daily walk, bathing toileting, remind thier medications. Housekeeping, laundry, and accompanied clients to thier appointments.

( completed all 4 Covid vaccinations on 4/15/22 ) Registered Nurse for 26 yrs- ER, Surgery, Hospice, Home Health, now retired. Case manager for home care agencies for 7 yrs, I now offer private consultation as well as hands on care for Activities of Daily Living, Companionship, etc. I am very familiar with elder care/memory care, Including but not limited to, Dementia/Alzheimer's. I am also familiar with Parkinson's disease and medications. Extensive experience with catheters, feeding tubes, Hoyer lifts, etc. I have lots of experience with end of life care. I can offer training/education to caregivers and/or family. I can attend doctor appointments to keep Health Care Team and family informed. I can handle medication administration, reminders, refills, etc. I will monitor for medication efficacy/ overall condition and contact MD if any issues arise. I enjoy working with our elderly population. Providing care and ensuring their safety is my priority. I have both personal and work experience, and I have a passion of working with seniors.

1. What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I love the job I do; which is providing care for people in need as I would care for myself or expect others to care for me. I don't belong to the class of caregivers who believe they are not being payed enough for this job. I love caregiving with all my heart, body and soul. 2. I became a caregiver after seeing my mom providing everyday care for my grandpa. Later on I came across an ad looking for caregivers in a retirement home; right there I realized I could provide help/care for the elderly and sick who needed it most. It was completely born out of compassion for people who needed care but have no one to care for them like my mom cared for my grandpa. 3. There is no satisfaction greater than putting smiles on the face of people who can't offer you anything other than gratitude. Seeing my residents and their families happy after providing care for them is such a great feeling. I love the fact that I can make them feel loved and protected. 4. My achievements as a caregiver are too many to count. On several occasions I have detected early signs of stroke amongst my residents even when my coworker and supervisors doubted me; but on all occasions, paramedics and doctors on arrival always congratulate me for detecting those signs. Being able to avert an imminent threat to the life of my residents is fulfilling.

What makes me a good caregiver would be I'm very compassionate I'm honest caring loving and I love to help people what push me into the medical field I volunteered for a year-and-a-half with my grandmother until she moved to Sacramento and I like what I did so I went and got my CNA I'm a certified CNA and that's the accomplishment that I am most proud about
