Caregiving is a very personal job, still I find ways to incorporate love, humor, cheerfulness, fun, hope, trust and optimism into my care. I love that I get the opportunity to listen and learn about thier lives as it allows me to live vicariously through their many adventures, life accomplishments and travels. I find capturing their legacy most fascinating...respecting their dignity. I have been a caregiver for over 15years. I am also a Medical Assistante. I have dealt with clients with Alzheimer's, Dementia and other illnesses. I've started with helping my grandmother as a little girl such as brushing her hair on a daily, picking out her clothes, to then giving her, her medications. I cared for several other family members until I decided to then move on to working in a doctor's office as a medical/billing assistant which included me rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting the doctor's, submitting billing, and most importantly building friendly and trusting relationships. Hello! I just recently moved into the Murrieta area from Los Angeles and I'm currently looking for a caregiver part time position. I'm a married woman of 20 years and love animals. I have over 6 years of experience with clients that have suffered from Cancer, Neuropathy, large wounds, eye blindness and blood disorders. In this profession it's important that we both make a perfect fit for one another. I'm a hard worker and I've never left my clients stranded and have never called in sick. It's very important to me that once I take a client in that's my responsibility. I can cook well and I'm very tidy. I'm experienced in using walkers, wheelchairs and walking canes. I'm experienced in senior exercise programs. I can do all bathing, dressing and grooming. Transportation is not a problem, I have a reliable car with insurance that can fit a portable wheelchair. I became a CNA/HHA at age 17.I have always wanted to work in the medical field to help others.I have worked in several facilities as a caregiver working my way to become a med.tech,supervisor and cottage manager.I have worked for a number of families as well.Most recently, i cared for my mother for a period of 5 years+, untill her death at age 95 on 11/11/15. I am looking forward to going back to work to care for and love someone who needs assistance.
