Hi! My name is Penny. I'm a single mom of 2 kids, a 15 yr old daughter and an 11 year old son.I enjoy working with elders as well as developmentally disabled, and have since I was in high school when I volunteered in our special needs class. I am a very caring, kind person who believes that an elder should be able to live in their own home as long as they can safely do so, and I enjoy being able to give them that ability. I was a CNA at one point, but lost my certifications due to choosing to be a stay at home mom (while I was in a relationship with my sons father). I do have some physical limitations as I can not lift dead weight, however, I am willing to do anything asked of me within my limits.

What makes me a great caregiver is I live very people and working in health care and doing what I love. What attracted me to be a caregiver is helping others in need itsy Passion I as a caregiver enjoy my job the most us the people I work with and there families. My achievement is getting my hha,my phlebotomy and continuing my medical assistant and going forward for my RN.

My recent work includes private concierge caregiver/for a patient in rehab and a Young boy with autism, a Pastor, Physician Assistant, his wife an RN at NFRMC, DR John Beckam, a retired Colonel/Doctor and his wife, as well as his Stepfather who was a cancer patient, Mrs Hindery, wife of the Late Sherriff Lu Hindery, Sherriff of Alachua County who served 43 years in local law enforcement, caregiver for a NFRMC Anesthesiologist, 2 UF Doctors, 2 UF Veterinarians, a VA Scientist, several UF Professors. UF Shands IT analyst and 2 VA professionals. I've spent 30+ years in various nursing fields in facilities and private care working extensively with Geriatric Patients having conditions such as Alzheimer's, Oncology/Hematology, Neuro Injuries/TBI/Rehab Services. I've worked cases of NICU babies, Infants with premature birth, failure to thrive and with children on the autism spectrum with sensory/food aversions as well as cerebral palsy and triplets with continuous tube feeds and Oxygen. I was employed as Assistant Health and Safety Director for the American Red Cross assisting in Teaching CPR, First aid and Disaster Preparedness as well as supervising Challenge Testing for Health Care Professional, Paramedics, Nurses and Physicians. I have also worked as Activities Director for the Salvation Army's after school and summer youth programs for children at high risk/abuse and as Activities Supervisor for the Henderson Housing Authority working with the elderly. I have a current multi state background check as well as a driving record.

I love to help people. Working with the elderly is an honor. It feels good to be able to make someone's day brighter.

I can help cook, help with housecleaning, laundry, errands, shopping, transportation to any kind of appointment, and give compassionate and loving companionship. I love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise would not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client's day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. I have done CNA work in the past, I have my Home Health Aide certificate and have been doing care giving services in clients homes for 10 years. I enjoy every day that I can make a difference in someones life.

I became a CNA as a young teenager and have remained in the health field. I always desired to become a nurse as a young girl to help care for others. I have been a LPN for 19 years. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings including home care services. I enjoy helping improve my clients' quality of life. It is very rewarding to know that I make a difference in the lives of others.

I believe that I have a very good heart. I find myself connecting with my patients/residents and have been relied on numerous times because of that. I have been thanked for the work I do and the care I provide for my patients. I am currently in school right now working on my prerequisites for my major. I love having the 1:1 relationship with my patient because it lets me get to know them.

I have been a care giver for nearly 14 years my job is to make sure my clients are comfortable and happy as possible I assist with bathing ,dressing ,food prep,feeding on Not no hot no so cold days I like to take my clients out for a walk wheel chair included or just sit out side if it's a good day I may take them for a ride for lunch or just to site see

I've always like helping others, I have a older sister that's been confined to a wheel chair/bed for about 45 years, we live together with another sister, so I still help with her, so I know it's something that I will enjoy doing an get paid for it.
