Hello, My name is Octavia Mcleod I'm 34 yrs of age and I'm blessed to have three beautiful children. One of kids which is 12, he really is my nephew but I raised him as my son since birth. He is the reason I'm currently in the care giving field. He has hit my a motor vehicle and required years of nursing, therapy, 24 hour around the clock care due to severe traumatic brain injuries he was left with. He was only 4 at the time so this has not only became a job to me it became a passion to me to care for not only him but others as well. I had in house RNs in my house for 5 years until I requested to care for him myself. Being a caregiver provides families with extra support for their live ones especially when families have jobs and families of their own and don't have the extra time to care for a love one that really needs that extra care and love. Being a caregiver allows me to give, love, support, help, and comfort and for that I feel accomplished every day when I come home to my family, knowing I have do those things for someone whom may not have that.

I have about 4 year experience as a caregiver. I done worked as a personal caregiver to assist living. I have 4 kids. One in college, I love help people. I have a full-time skincare business as well. And my spare time I would like to help out people who need it.

I am a compassionate loving and dependable caregiver. I enjoy providing care to those who are unable to engage in those needs for themselves. I started out in this field by providing care for my my Grandmother, seeing how I was able to brighten her day I new that this was the career for me.

I've been a caregiver for about seven years dealing with many different cultures. What I love so much about being a caregiver is helping people that can't or no longer help themselves. While being a caregiver I've learned that every clue has different needs which I'm comfortable with. Also I've private sat with an ALS patient caring for her day and night that required lots so it's basically nothing I can't do.

MY compassion and empathy for people in need of that extra special care because of limited mobility and age make me want to help. My caregiving came from my mom who was a private caregiver who gave her all to her patients and I watched her and decided then I wanted to be a caregiver because of the love and care she had for these people. I love when at the end of my shift my resident say's see you tomorrow. When I became a certified nursing assistant and understood what an important difference I could make in people's lives. I just love it period...
