Hello, My name is Octavia Mcleod I'm 34 yrs of age and I'm blessed to have three beautiful children. One of kids which is 12, he really is my nephew but I raised him as my son since birth. He is the reason I'm currently in the care giving field. He has hit my a motor vehicle and required years of nursing, therapy, 24 hour around the clock care due to severe traumatic brain injuries he was left with. He was only 4 at the time so this has not only became a job to me it became a passion to me to care for not only him but others as well. I had in house RNs in my house for 5 years until I requested to care for him myself. Being a caregiver provides families with extra support for their live ones especially when families have jobs and families of their own and don't have the extra time to care for a love one that really needs that extra care and love. Being a caregiver allows me to give, love, support, help, and comfort and for that I feel accomplished every day when I come home to my family, knowing I have do those things for someone whom may not have that.

I've been a caregiver for about seven years dealing with many different cultures. What I love so much about being a caregiver is helping people that can't or no longer help themselves. While being a caregiver I've learned that every clue has different needs which I'm comfortable with. Also I've private sat with an ALS patient caring for her day and night that required lots so it's basically nothing I can't do.

I am a good caregiver because I enjoy working with people. I am Companionable, a good listener, communicate well, trustworthy, dependable, always attend to my clients' needs. I became a Caregiver because I felt a connection to anyone who needed my help. I love being able to apply my skills to their needs. I enjoy listening to their words of wisdom and if they can't communicate I enjoy just being a companion to them.

I have been in persona and private care for over 20 years. I have worked in a hospital as an orderly. I grow attached to my charges while doing my job. They are not just my bosses they are my family. What I can do I do with talent. So hire me and let me take care of you

I'm a loving woman with a heart and passion for helping others. It's a true blessing to be a caregiver. I believe it's self rewarding and a special assignment from God to have this level of compassion and care for others.
