I am prior military. While attending grossmont college, I was the president of the student veterans organization. I thought it would be a great idea, back in 2008, to have our veterans go into the community and help in assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities. After seeing how short staffed, over worked, under paid, and how these patients felt, I knew I needed to help. My children and I would paint their nails, do their hair, play bingo, assist in sporting events like the, in-house Kentucky Derby, with stick horses, play music, feed them and provide comfort during the holidays, make mobiles for patients one their ceilings, for the ones that could not get out of bed, and provide comfort for so many people that do not have family or friends to visit them.

My life is built around love and compassion. I have worked in healthcare for 17+ yrs, with some of my my most memorable moments in elderly care. I have worked anywhere from, home health, hospice, memory care, assistant administrator, etc. I have spent the last 5 yrs as a stay at home mom raising my children. I love working with our elderly community because they have lived and know a life, we will never know. I love to listen to their history, how they were raised, and see them through different eyes. Laugh and smile with them. They were once young just as you and I.

I'm super loving and compassionate. on time for all jobs. I truly love helping people. Safety is a huge concern to me. I'm very trustworthy. I am licensed by the state of California. All my clients become family to me. You will become family to me as well :)

I am an upbeat caring person, I got into care giving because it was something I have done for a few family members and I am good at what I do. I enjoy meeting new people, we all have such interesting stories of our lives, I am dedicated and dependable.

I am a very giving and caring person. I have a lot of experience with working with the elderly and love to make sure they are well taken care of. I love to cook and to go shopping. I love to make new friends.

I found my passion for healthcare through giving birth to my son and the amazing help everyone provided to me during such a stressful time. My love and strive to be a caregiver I got from seeing my grandmother switch to and from nursing homes. There were some good ones and there were some terrible ones. Seeing the ones who treated her terrible like she wasn't a person and hearing how it hurt her, that is why I chose to do caregiving. I wanted someone to treat my grandmother like we do and I would love to extend that hand to you and your loved one.

Working with people in a home care. Or residental setting can be challenging but also rewarding at the same time. To be s successful caregiver it not only takes book smarts but a few essential qualties only certain people have that makes them stand away from the rest. I posess the following qualities and that is why I feel I stand out from the rest. it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion i am letting my resident know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them. Make them feel important and at that moment the most important. Patience. Is a virtue many do not posess. When you work with someone who is depending on you to help them with things they can no longer do it is important that you are patient and understanding. It helps to sometimes put yourself in the other person's shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. When a person is rushed that is when mistakes happen and injuy and accident occur. I am someone that can be counted on to be there. If I says i am going to be there to provide cares every Thursday morning, then inwill be there every Thursday unless there is an emergency. Those needing home care services need a reliable and dependable caregiver. Trustworthy. Most people need care services are in a vulnerable position. They are inviting someone into their home/room to be near their valuables. A good caregiver is someone who is trustworthy in this regard, as well as in being trusted to keep the client's information confidential. Flexible. As with most things in life, home care needs may change and unexpected events can happen. A good caregiver will be prepared to go with the flow, being flexible, so that they continue to provide good caregive, even if a rigid schedule isn't being followed.

I am currently attending college to further my education in Nursing. I have always loved helping other people. I am a very trustworthy, compassionate, and great companion. In the meanwhile of finishing school, I wanted to care for others.

I'm cpr certified and have my med certification. I have experience with Alzheimer's and dementia patients as well as paraplegic and quadriplegics. I currently work to other jobs but that won't stop me from being on time and to show up. I work a 12 hr shift 2 day on 4 days off revolving days and I work inhome care with an incomplete quadriplegic Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. I have worked out a plan with this client that when I have the 12's I only come in on the other two days I'm not working there. I'm very strong willed and passionate about what I do. I will make it all work out, I am really resource full. If I really want something I'll go for it. I currently do not have a car at the moment and that's a down side but I always get to work. I'm an extremely hard worker. Up for anything,willing to learn more
